Application Great - When it works

This application is great - when it works. I have had repeated problems getting it to work reliably, especially when trying to use it with bluetooth headphones. I usually have to reinstall the program and restart my Mac in order to get control of the Output and Input device selections. Using this app I lose control of my audio controls quite often. The new software releases fix some bugs and create other instabilities. I am using Mavericks. Maybe the changes for the newer OSs are breaking things for those of us still using something a little older. I can boot my machine as Yosemite or El Capitan, but I still find Mavericks more stable for me overall use. Unfortunately, this app (Ver 1.7.1) on Mavericks is problematic.
